Apple Stores appear to be broken

No kidding, all of the apple stores (as I write this) are down and not taking logons. Apple have finally agreed that there is an issue - the status page was telling the world thet everything was fine first thing today, but finally they show that ther is a real issue. We all wait with bated breat for access to apple goodness to be resumed - personally given the recent hacks on both the xbox and PSN networks, I have to wonder if there is a little more at play here that fist meets the eye...
